Servo motor is a rotary actuator that is designed for precise precision control. It consists of an electric motor, a feedback device, and a controller. They are able to accommodate complex motion patterns and profiles better than any other type of motor. Although they are small in size they can pack a lot of power, and are extremely energy efficient.There are two types of servo motors, AC servos and DC servos. The main difference between the two motors is their source of power. AC servo motors rely on an electric outlet, rather than batteries like DC servo motors. While DC servo motor performance is dependent only on voltage, AC servo motors are dependent on both frequency and voltage.  Because of the complexity of the power supply, AC servo motors can handle high surges, which is why they are often used in industrial machinery.

Satisfy High Precision Positioning Requirements

• Support pulse input (up to 4Mbps) and analog voltage two kinds of command.
• Built-in position, speed and torque three control modes (speed and torque mode could be controlled via internal parameters or analog voltage command).
• There auto notch filters are provided to suppress the mechanical resonance automatically and make the system operate more smoothly.

The DM556T is a digital stepper drive with simple design and easy setup. By implementing advanced stepper control technology, this stepper drive is able to power 2-phase and 4 phase stepper motors smoothly with optimal torque and low motor heating & noise. Its operating voltage is 20-50VDC and it can output up to 5.6A current. All the micro step and output current are done via DIP switches. Therefore, the DM556T are ideal choices for applications requiring simple step & direction control of NEMA 23, 24 and 34 stepper motors.
